BMW 230i Performance Air Intake by Dinan, Carbon Fiber (2019–2026). This upgrade replaces the factory box with a larger, semi-open carbon system to improve flow and sharpen response.
Dinan reengineered the entire lower box to maximize space, fitting a 40% larger free-flow filter in a volume about 60% bigger than stock. Patterned secondary inlets on the fender side add air with the factory snorkel without raising turbo inlet temps. While gains aren’t notable on stock cars, the added flow raises the platform’s headroom for future turbo and fueling upgrades. Removing the resonator reveals genuine turbo spool and BOV sound, and the carbon fiber lid and tube refine the bay.
