This particular package re-uses the OEM shocks by adding spacers for the front shocks in order to provide the optimal droop stop point. Cognito SM series upper control arms are included in order to provide a corrected angle ball joint to handle the added droop. Torsion bar keys are included to provide the opportunity to set the ride height properly, and a 1" block and u-bolt kit is also included for those who have added weight permanently in the bed such as tool box and/or fuel tank and need to get the ride height back up to where it was stock.. Cognito leveling kits have ride quality in mind. In order to level your truck, droop travel must be maintained, and Cognito does that by adding droop travel that can then be converted into ride height. This ensures a minimum 3" droop travel is available to provide the best ride quality possible, leaving the rest of the ride quality result up to your choice of tires and shocks.. Not included in this package, but very highly recommended, is the pitman and idler arm support kit which will prevent premature wear of pitman and idler arms that arises from increased tie rod angles that is an inherent result when adding a leveling kit to an IFS truck with pitman and idler arm type steering system..
