The RP-X compound is an ultra-high performance material developed for hard track use and dedicated race cars. It maintains a consistent friction coefficient around 0.55 mu to temperatures beyond 850°C, offering predictable braking behavior under extended high-heat conditions. Designed as a true race pad, the RP-X set uses Nucap NRS hook retention and stainless steel back plates for secure mounting and durability. Drivers will find improved pedal feel compared with RP2 compounds, while the formulation is engineered to be respectful of brake discs when used as intended on track.
