Mazda RX-8 Brake Rotor (1) - Rear - DBA - 4000 Series HD - `04-`11 is a direct replacement rear rotor for 2004–2011 RX-8 models. It combines DBA’s high-carbon metallurgy with their Kangaroo Paw ventilation to help manage heat and fade during repeated braking events.

This plain 4000 Series HD rotor is cast from XG-150 high carbon alloyed iron and undergoes Thermal Stability Profiling (TSP) to condition the metallurgy for higher stress and temperature cycles. The Kangaroo Paw ventilation uses 144 diamond and teardrop patterned pillars to increase surface area and improve cooling efficiency; DBA reports up to a 30% increase in surface area and a 20% improvement in cooling versus traditional straight vane designs. The HD variant keeps a smooth OEM-style finish favored in controlled race divisions or for owners who prefer an OE look while gaining the material and thermal benefits of the 4000 Series. Rotors include THGP thermographic paint markings and arrive in moisture-proof corrosion protection packaging for storage and fitment reliability.
