Pontiac GTO Brake Rotor (1) - Front - DBA - 5000 Series Slotted - Black Hat - 2004. This direct-replacement front rotor pairs a high-carbon cast-iron braking ring with an aerospace-grade aluminum hat for reduced unsprung weight and improved heat management.
The DBA 5000 Series T3 slotted rotor is built for the enthusiast who wants durable, serviceable braking hardware. The two-piece construction uses XG-150 high carbon alloyed iron rings bolted to T6061-T6 aluminum hats with National Aerospace Standard (NAS) bolts and crimp nuts. Thermal Stability Profiling (TSP) helps minimize runout and stress while Thermo-graphic Paint (THGP) markings provide a visual reference for heat exposure. The slotted T3 pattern aids pad cleaning and gas evacuation under heavy use without overstating results; DBA recommends this series for high-performance street vehicles, track-day use, club racing and rally applications.
