Built from OE-spec grey cast iron and engineered to EBC standards, the wide, precision slots help clear gas, dust, and water to maintain pad contact and manage heat. Vented construction and the GD slot pattern are designed to reduce fade under load and at speed. Many EBC rotors are British-made in their own foundry; when sourced elsewhere, each unit is specified, sampled, and tested for material quality, hardness, ductility, and runout.
