The 2013-2022 Acura ILX was not compatible with our original design, so we created the Grille Mount Platypus instead! This version can be installed anywhere on your grille, ensuring that it doesn't interfere with any parking sensors on your ILX. The Platypus Grille Mount is a front license plate bracket that installs directly onto your ILX’s grill, preventing you from making the irreversible mistake of drilling mounting holes into your new Acura. Our method of mounting license plates is reversible, stylish, and completely legal. We can all agree that most cars look best without a front license plate at all, but if you’re driving in a state that requires the front plate, we’ve designed our Grille Mount Platypus to be easily installed in a matter of minutes. When you no longer need it, The Platypus can be removed easily, leaving no trace that it was ever there.
