The system's one-piece housing is crafted from open-element XLPE (cross-linked polyethylene) polymer, which minimizes the intrusion of warm engine air for enhanced performance. The open configuration of this housing not only allows for easy visual inspection of the air filter but also forms a heat-blocking seal when the vehicle's hood is closed. Furthermore, an enlarged air inlet is designed to capture and direct air from the factory scoop straight to the air filter, optimizing airflow.
