Pontiac Grand Am Catalytic Converter - Magnaflow - Direct Fit, California Grade, CARB Compliant - `04-`05. A direct-fit replacement designed to restore proper emissions control on 2004-2005 Pontiac Grand Am models (also fits 2004 Oldsmobile Alero) and keep the check engine light from false emissions triggers.
This MagnaFlow 5461996 converter reproduces OE spun-body flow dynamics using advanced metrology and 3D scanning in development to ensure fit and function. The compact, low-mass design with a single laser fusion weld reduces the potential for leaks while offering improved thermal efficiency. Mandrel-bent tubing preserves OEM geometry for smooth exhaust flow and consistent engine operation. Constructed from corrosion-resistant stainless material and supplied with gaskets and hardware, this direct-fit unit installs without cutting or welding when used with the proper tools. It is tested for CARB compliance and is legal for sale in all 50 states, including California, Colorado, New York and Maine, when the vehicle’s EO and EFN match the converter’s Executive Order.
