APR replaces the factory inlet elbow, pipe, and hose with a larger, optimized path from the turbocharger to the airbox. The system supports 80 mm and can expand to 88 mm for compatible airboxes. On the Golf R, testing showed over a 30% flow increase at each measured inlet depression, reducing pressure drop so the turbo works with less effort. The wire‑reinforced hose is fluorosilicone‑lined for oil and fuel resistance, the DV connection is billet, and robust clamps (including an optional Oetiker clamp) are included. It pairs with the OE airbox, APR intake filter, and APR Carbon Fiber or PEX open systems, and the removable turbo inlet adapter supports future upgrades, including larger turbos.
