Dinan’s testing led to an optimized core that balances size with airflow. With 60% more core volume and 19% more face area than stock, its 40mm thickness (vs. 24mm) maintains radiator airflow while extracting more heat from the charge-cooling circuit. Expect an average 9° drop in intercooler water temps and about 6° cooler intake air across the RPM range. The result is consistent gains of +10 hp and +20 lb-ft on the stock tune and markedly better resistance to heat soak—remaining stable even after seven consecutive pulls where the factory setup fades. Rubber isolation mounts further enhance durability.
