The AST 5100 Street Series uses an inverted monotube design in the front with a divorced rear setup that mirrors OEM architecture. Springs are included and engineered to work with OEM top mounts; rear spring rates are fixed and chosen from AST’s development program for a balance between comfort and control. The monotube dampers use a large piston and high-pressure nitrogen to reduce foaming and provide consistent, responsive rebound control. Rebound is adjustable across 12 distinct positions so you can tailor how quickly the damper returns to extension to match your driving preference.
