With controlled flexion areas® and an intelligent protection system, the slider is designed to bend in set zones to help preserve parts in a tip-over. This model-specific kit fits 2009–2014 YZF-R1; the right side requires modification. CNC precision-cut 2017 aluminum elements with an anodized matte black finish resist corrosion, and molded pucks use a proprietary energy-absorbing material. Detailed instructions included; Vortex recommends installation by a certified motorcycle mechanic.
