Ford Explorer Catalytic Converter - MagnaFlow - Direct Fit (2002–2004). This MagnaFlow HM Grade direct-fit catalytic converter is designed as a direct replacement for 2002–2004 Ford Explorer and 2002–2004 Mercury Mountaineer models to help maintain emissions compliance and reduce the chance of a check-engine light caused by a failing converter.
Built to replicate OE flow dynamics, this unit uses mandrel-bent tubing and stainless steel construction to resist corrosion and preserve exhaust flow for consistent engine operation and fuel economy. The part is engineered with 3D-scanned fitment data to match factory geometry and includes gaskets and hardware to help prevent exhaust leaks during installation. It is designed to meet Federal/EPA emissions requirements for OBDII federally registered vehicles; this federal (non-CARB) unit is not legal for sale or installation in California, Colorado, or New York.
