The stock hose’s ribs disturb flow and aging rubber can crack, causing leaks and drivability issues. Mishimoto’s 5-ply silicone with stainless-steel wire reinforcement keeps the intake path smooth and resists collapse at high RPM or as future mods increase demand. A 3-inch inner diameter transitions from airbox to throttle body to reduce restriction, and the design retains the lower resonator to preserve the factory powerband and intake tuning. Safe on the stock tune, it installs in under an hour with required hardware.
