The part is quite expensive for how big it is, but it fits perfectly. You could probably fit it without glue, but I used some to be on the safe side.

Tip: If you have to glue parts on (like this one or others) use the adhesive with which you install windshields, then it will never come off.

What is the warranty on the clear coat?

The manufacturer uses high quality PPG clear coat and guarantees the finish to last a minimum of one year from the time of purchase. Applying a good quality paste wax or ceramic coating can drastically increase the life of the clear coat. We have had carbon from this manufacturer on our own vehicles for many years and with a bi monthly application of a good wax the finish has remained in like new condition many years later. Some of the items have been on our vehicles for over 5 years with zero degradation of finish.
